by My Name is of No Consequence infor those of you who've watched the witnesses documentary, let's suppose for a moment that the org was forced to make their database of abusers available to the courts.
if this database is as detailed and meticulous as it is claimed, how in the world could the org (in its present form) survive that?
assuming they don't go bankrupt after all of the new abuse claims, would they go underground, shut down the kingdom halls, stop the preaching?

I heard that the WT has hired the same firm that held all those emails for Hillary Clinton.

Looking for Carl and Julie Bruce
by John Redwood into everyone:i am trying to locate anyone who might know carl bruce or his wife julie.
carl was a bethelite as far back as the mid-1980s in brooklyn new york.
it appears that he was married to julie during that time period, and he may still be a bethelite serving in wallkill.

He was at Wallkill a few years ago. I believe he is in the Circuit work now. I wish I had more to offer.

Kh's will be gone in 5 years! Here's how it will work
by nowwhat? inbesides the media center they are going to build in n.y. it's been noted they are also building one and a studio in australia.
there is no way donations can cover these massive projects.
so the money will have to come from the sale of the remaining halls.

I know at my old Hall, a couple of the houses that had the study in them complained that the Congregation should help with repairs. I believe there was a Meeting with the Elders at the Circuit level because it was fairly widespread. Then, 1 year latter the new and improved Bible Study with the School was started.Tameria2001 an hour ago
There is a huge problem with meeting in people's homes, not zoned. I was told that was why they stopped having the Tuesday night (or whatever night) book study in private homes. -

SuperBowl 54: US Sports vs UK Sports
by Simon inso a few things .... apparently it's superbowl 54, and also the centennial of the sport.
erm ... i'm not a mathematician, but aren't there 46 superbowls missing?.
americans claim that uk sport ("soccer", aka real football) is too low scoring.

Doctor Who
I think Americans would like Soccer (Football) more if it was more like Hockey on grass....ie....smaller field, faster pace game.

@ Rubadub
Sorry if I came off harsh and ignorant with my defense of HappyDad. I should have been more tactful and the words I used were uncalled for. Respect to you...

Let me make a guess, you are a Trump supporter, right?
Rub a Dub
Dude, why the hostility? I know the man personally and he was just pondering on things. Then gave some advice he learned from his experiences. Chill out. That Trump Derangement Syndrome must be a hell of a disorder!

I work in Engineering and use Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry all the time. And I agree, the trades are where it's at. You can make $30 and hour, have a pension, and not any debt that so called 'professionals' have. I do think the education system today fails miserably in teaching STEM. Back in the 60, 70, and 80 it was a focus. But today? I often get interns who can't do basic mathematics! They look at me like I am a genius because I can do simple problems in my head, often times faster than they can on the computer. And to be honest, I was just an average to above average student.

Happy Dad can vouch for this one...
We had a brother that was obsessed with alternative medicine. He also claimed to be of the anointed and was a known drunk. Anyways, one of his most famous exploits was colloidal silver. He claimed he cured his wife of cancer with using it. Now, I know for a fact that his wife was suspected of having cancer, but her daughter said after having a follow up appointment, the doctor said she had fibroids in her breast, not cancer. But that didn't stop this brother for she endured two months of the colloidal silver treatments, actually turning somewhat grayish from it because he swore he could cure it. It was only with the intervention of her daughter to stop it that she began to get better (her daughter was PIMO at the time, now is POMO). After 6 months she was better and lo and behold, she was cured by his treatments. He became a sort of cult hero for some locally seeking alternative remedies after that. He actually ended up dying from trying to cure his own cancer many years latter. I remember his daughter telling me if he had seeked medical treatment when he was first diagnosed, he would have still been alive.
